I am SO excited to be featuring a fellow Epic Eighteen author, Tara Luebbe! This book is perfect for an interactive pre-k/kindergarten read aloud because it prompts readers to discuss how to respond when we fail. Do we give up or do we persevere? It also allows for a discussion about perfection. Do we have to be perfect to be a star? All in all, this is a great growth mindset discussion book for the early elementary classroom. Be sure to check out the super fun activity guide below. It has lots of cute center activities.
Activity Name: A Star is Born
Activity Description: Start off by having students fill out the A Star is Born worksheet included in the activity kit below. Then, ask students to identify one activity then can do better now than they could when they were a baby. Next, ask students to share one challenge they faced while learning that activity. Finally, ask them to explain how they overcame the challenge.

MY SUMMER OFFICIALLY STARTS JUNE 19TH AND ENDS AUGUST 24TH. THAT'S 9.5 WEEKS OF SUMMER OR 66 DAYS. MY ORIGINAL GOAL WAS TO READ A MIDDLE GRADE NOVEL OR 15-20 PICTURE BOOKS A DAY FOR 50 OF THOSE DAYS, BUT MY NEW GOAL IS TO SHOOT FOR 30 DAYS. I DIDN'T REALIZE I'D END UP DOING TEXT SETS! I'LL BLOG ABOUT THE BOOKS AND MY EXPERIENCE HERE. READ ON!
